Bigg Boss Telugu Season 9: Contestants and Theme

The much-awaited Bigg Boss Telugu Season 9 finally started on September 7th, 2025, with a grand launch hosted by Akkineni Nagarjuna. This show begins with Nagarjuna’s energetic dance performance, followed by welcoming all the contestants and also a Bigg Boss house tour.

This season has 15 contestants who came from different backgrounds, like films, television, social media, and even common people. Some of the well-known names are Thanuja Puttaswamy, a Kannada actress, and Flora Saini, who worked in South Indian films. Contestants like Jabardasth Emmanuel, famous for his comedy skits, and Suman Setty, popular in the South Indian film industry, are also part of this season. Along with them, Choreographer Shrasti Verma, social media influencer Rithu Chowdary, and singer Ramu Rathod (known for “ Ranu Bombayi Ki Ranu”) are bringing variety to the show.

This season also welcomes commoners Kalyan Padala, Haritha Harish, Srija Dammu, Demon Pavan, Dr Priya, and Maryada Manish, adding freshness and real-life experiences to the mix. Nagarjuna once again takes charge of the show. This is his sixth time hosting Bigg Boss Telugu. The theme of this season is “ Double house”. For the first time, there are two different houses inside the Bigg Boss set, creating double drama, double twists, and double excitement.
